WordPress 7.1 was released last week. One of contributions to this release was the new playlist block. Here it is in action:
This was a really fun project. I enjoyed working with my friend Jerry on the first version of the block, and we have a lot more updates coming in the next version.
It was also really satisfying to with David who built the Waveform player library we used. David has been helpful and responsive to us thoughout this process and it’s great that this open source library is now available to anyone using WordPress.
The song in the playlist above is a new one, written for anyone who has family a long way away.
