Weekend was fun. I went on a bike ride last night and nearly got struck by lightening. Lots of storms about.
Liam Eltham came fifth in the pro Dirt comp thingy and Simon Hall was 25th. I heard the jumps were trailsy so you have to ride a lot of trails to get through, but I don’t know what trails Simon Hall rides.
We went to joeys woods today. I took some pictures, which are up in the gallery. You can see them by clicking on the words Joey’s July 2007.
The Sunday before last there was a mini tour de France. I took some pictures: one | two
This weekend, on Saturday I had lunch at the trails and then on Sunday we had a big bonfire of Seb’s roof the other day, once it was taken off the house. I was being a bit stupid, playing on burning haystacks.I took some pictures of the people at work:

We recorded this clip at work using skype. It might be interesting to listen to or it might be very boring. Have a listen and let me know:

Liam drove me to Devon yesterday to pick up my car. It was a good trip and the car is fine.
Wanted: Someone to go to the trails with! (must be interested in riding lots and digging lots).
Things have been very quiet at the trails recently. Its been mostly just me and Nigel down there, digging away. We haven’t seen Tom for a while, Rob is on holiday, and when he’s not he does 12 hour days at work so he often can’t get down. Pete is bored of trails so we don’t see him much, and now Nigel has hurt himself and can’t walk, so I am all by myself at the trails again, just like last year.
I am at the trails most days and it would be good to have some company, especially if you are as obsessed by riding as I seem to be at the moment.
The older I get the more obsessed with riding I seem to be. I can’t get enough of it! I guess you know you are addicted to riding when you do it by yourself.
That sounds a bit stupid. I don’t like it when people try and pressurise people into riding. You’re meant to do it for fun, not for any other reason. I don’t ever want whether someone rides or not to effect whether I am freinds with them. The only reason that I ride is that its one of the most fun things I know about. If you don’t think it is fun you shouldn’t pretend you do, just do something else that is more fun. It’s not a competiton.

Can you play bohemian rapsody on your hands?
Tonight we went for a ride in a new place and I took some pictures. This is the first time for about a year that pictures have been up the same day that I took them. I must be keen.
FREE CAR! – I bought a new car so I need to get rid of my old one. It’s got about a month of tax and MOT on it, but I am not sure it will pass the next one, so if anyone wants to have it then they can have a month of free driving. I have to drive to devon to get the new one, so it doesn’t matter if you don’t live near here!
Also, since I am driving to Devon I might as well visit some places on the way. Trip on Monday anyone?
Also The Knife is a really good page. Its interesting to see people doing something similar to building trails. Some quotes I liked:
“Use your tail as shovel, dig up the spots. They are there, you just have to look. Working eyes and poetic licence is all it takes.”
“From birth, man carries the weight of gravity on his shoulders. He is bolted to earth. But man has only to sink beneath the surface and he is free.” – Jacques Yves Cousteau.
The other day I had about ten dead sheep in my office.Close up!
Digging in the rain is fun. The rain keeps you cool while you are sweating. Summer is a good time for digging as you can get a lot done.
